It's 2011!!!! In case you didn't know. Or forgot. And if you did either one, may God help you. ;)
But I have made a whole bunch of resolutions this year. Only one applies to you, my readers out in cyberspace. (Of whom there are not many, according to my little counter thingy, but whatever.) It is this - I am going to post something interesting every day. Also, I will be more positive.
Today-
I had my cousins over. Only three of them, thank goodness. I have fifteen in total, and I'm the oldest of them all. But the ones I had over today were all girls, and we took turns trying on my dresses. They all fit into them, by some minor miracle. Well, actually, not really a miracle. To help you get a better picture of me, I am pretty small. (My feet are freakishly so, me being 13, 5' 2, and a size FOUR shoe. It's insane. My 11 year old sister has bigger feet than I do.) And some of those dresses I had outgrown, so you know what my cousins will be wearing next Easter.
You see, in my town/family/friend group, we have kind of a thing for passing down clothes. If I get a birthday or a christmas present of clothes, they've probably been worn by friends and friends of friends. Like all my clothes come from either my friends or family. My family/friends do this - The clothes start out as either my friend Jess's or my cousin Melissa's, then me, then my oldest girl cousin, then on to my sister, her friend, then to my other three girl cousins in town, year by year.
By the way, tomorrow's attraction - my book. I'm going to post what it's about. I never tell anyone, simply because it's a long story, so this should be good.
Happy New Year!!!!

New Years Resolutions
Dear Myself,
I haven't seen you in a while. You are so very different from the positive, energetic, fun-loving nature girl you were in February.
Just look at yourself. Not cool, man. Just stick with what you were before and you'll be good. Stop trying to be a poser teen.
But I am proud of you in some areas. Like, the fifteen pounds and three sizes you've dropped since summer. Nice. And not through starving yourself, which you certainly considered (and tried), but through healthy eating, jiujitsu and getting in shape. Also, learning to sing was a good move. And learning, in five months, everything you could possibly need to know for the rest of your life about that stuff.
You just need to realize that you have a life, plenty of good friends, and you are perfectly able to be yourself and get through high school. Just stick with what makes you happy.
Some pointers for 2011-
• Work on that novel more. I want it finished by May, no later.
• Plant a garden in your room, like before you took it out because you thought it wasn't cool.
• Read more books.
Got it?
Love and Kisses,
Me
